Five More of Prayer & Five of Quiet

Abba Father, teach me to avoid unnecessary distractions and serve You faithfully. Please forgive me when I choose possessions, pleasures, or popularity over devotion to You. Show me where to grow my prayer and time to hear Your whispers to do Your will.

Lord, Lord, a myriad of cultural noise clamors, begs and seeks my attention. So much appeals to my senses, my time and focus! Please forgive me, Father, when I allow other things or people to detract from my time and attention with You. Please forgive me when prayers are superficial, simple and shallow from laziness or overwhelm in my mind. Thank You for ‘taking my groans’ and making them meaningful, rich, and pleasing to Your ears. I vow to add five additional minutes of prayer and five additional minutes of stillness & quiet daily to honor You more fully as my Heavenly Father, my Guide, Healer, Giver of Wisdom and Power. Five of prayer. Five of quiet. Lord, as I enter marriage, I vow to honor You in the quiet and seek Your whisper as to how to be a good wife and matriarch. Amen. Thank You, Father, for how you will grow and mature me in this season ahead.
